Hi! My name is Dan Strathdee and I began painting my art in the summer of 2015. I live and work in the Pacific North West and work full-time as a radiologic technologist. When I am not working or painting I enjoy spending time with my family and 2 dogs as well as enjoying the outdoors and pursuing my passions for traveling and kiteboarding. Although I am a self-taught artist, I have been influenced by many contemporary artists both past and present. I enjoy using rich colors to spark the imagination and present the world in a vivid interplay between shadows and light. Influential artists include Vincent Van Gogh, John Singer Sargent, Vladimir Volegov, Mark Maggiori, Glenn Dean, Tim Horn, Dennis Perrin, Min Ma, Mike Svob, Michael O'Toole, Robert Genn, and The Group of Seven, to name but a few.
Thank you for visiting my website and may you find both enjoyment and inspiration.
Sincerely, Dan
